The Kingdom of Lesotho has taken a crucial legal step that signifies her total commitment to the African Telecommunications Union (ATU), by completing the ratification of the Constitution and Convention of the latter.
Based in the Capital Nairobi, Republic of Kenya; ATU is a specialized agency of the African Union (AU). It is tasked with promoting the development of telecommunications and ICTs in Africa.
The ratification instruments were deposited at the African Union Commission Legal Counsel
Office by H.E Ntšiuoa SEKETE, Lesotho’s Permanent Representative to the AU and Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE).

Lesotho’s Minister of Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mrs. Nthati
Moorosi, who also serves as the current Chairperson of the African Union Specialised
Technical Committee on Communications Science and Technology says the move cements the Kingdom’s position as a key player in Africa’s digital transformation agenda. . .
