LESOTHO LEADS AFRICA’S DIGITAL AGENDA

Maseru, Nov. 25 — The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation Mrs. Nthati Moorosi says smart strategies, increased domestic investments, and improved collaboration, can solve Africa’s existing challenges impeding realization of the promise of a digital economy. 

 The Minister made this note in the Capital Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the 5th Ordinary Session of the African Union Specialized Technical Committee on Communication and ICT (STC-CICT). The biennial meeting of African Ministers of ICT and Communications seeks to advance Africa’s digital agenda.

 Assuming the Chairmanship of the STC, Mrs. Moorosi commended the AU for taking concrete steps to accelerate digital transformation across critical sectors, and developing digital strategies for education, agriculture, health and inclusive financial sectors. . .
