Maseru, Dec. 05 — Scores of people, from HIV and AIDS activists, patients and leaders in different spheres converged at Thaba-Bosiu on Thursday, joining the rest of the globe in campaigning against the epidemic.
Curved with red ribbons, some were also dressed in red and white, red signalling war against HIV and AIDS and white denoting hope and peace towards successes achieved in the journey, the event commenced with inspection of HIV and AIDS stalls.
Led by King Letsie lll, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane and other officials, the stalls showcasing the works done for the last 38 years of fighting the disease also saw the presence of the Thaba-Bosiu community.
In an interview, Nkhono ‘Maselloane Molomo (76) of Thaba-Bosiu, Masekoeng Mokhibo Group whose team was seated, ready to start the day said they are honoured the day is commemorated here, where the nation was founded.
