Maseru, June 07 — Lesotho government through Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI) Project will host a two day Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) sensitization workshop on Tuesday next week.
Speaking in an interview, Mrs. ‘Makali Nathane, CAFI Deputy Project Manager Implementation said that the workshop is aimed at deliberating on the importance of social, environmental and industrial compliance to reach international markets.
She said that it will also focus on WRAP principles and the step-by-step procedures for certification as part of the business cycle to securing orders.
She said that the workshop will be attended by stakeholders including representatives from trade unions, employers’ associations, Ministry of Trade and Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC).
