LESOTHO CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL CONDOM DAY

Maseru, Feb. 12 — Lesotho will join the rest of the world in celebrating International Condom Day at Khubetsoana, (Lecoop) on Feb. 13.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) says the purpose of the International Condom Day is to celebrate condoms and discover fun, creative ways to promote condom use.

The event will include discussion amongst young people about correct and consistent condom use and their accessibility and availability at young friendly spots, free condom distribution and engaging education on condom use.

Despite more that 1 million Sexual Transmitted Infections (STIs) being acquired daily worldwide, according to the World Health Organisation, condom use is declining in many parts of the world.
