LESOTHO AIMS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL REFORMS

Maseru, Aug.14–The Kingdom of Lesotho has had incidences of cyclic instability, security and political disturbance since its independence that have affected its development and its governance system as evidenced by weak and partisan state institutions, weak civil service and unprofessional media and judiciary whose independence from the executive is highly compromised.

This emerged at the opening of the 2nd  two day consensus building workshop for the representatives of the Senate, government and leaders of political parties in the National Assembly on the 11th amendment of the Constitution Bill, 2022 which started in Maseru on Monday.
