Maseru, June 17 — The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Secretary General (SG), Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi says unavailability of Setsoto Stadium is impoverishing Basotho in his comments he made on Radio Lesotho morning sports show on Monday.
When commenting on the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Sports and Culture Mr Motlatsi Maqelepo statement he made where he urged Basotho to support their National team Likuena, Mr Mohapi said if Setsoto Stadium remains banned, such statements mean nothing.
He said this far, LeFA has splashed over M10 million for the past four years since the Setsoto Stadium was suspended by FIFA for not meeting international standards.
Mr Mohapi made an example of costs incurred for the past four years, saying booking the South African Stadiums is expensive, booking accommodation as well as hiring South African security companies as well as buses transporting the players hit hard a LeFA’s coffers.
