Maseru, April 02 — The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Limpho Tau has revealed that after 6 years, the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) will engage in new recruitments.
The Minister indicated that there are about 500 recruitments which are expected to be made this financial year within the Lesotho Defence Force.
Mr. Tau clarified that budget constraints have been one of the major challenges which contributed to non recruitment with the defence force.
He stated that the government has instructed the defence force to come up with a long term strategic plan which will amongst others help the institution with personnel training, civil and military relations as well as the development and growth of the institution. NT/TL
