Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 14 — In a significant move to foster greater security and community collaboration, three members of the Lesotho Defense Force (LDF) were formally introduced to the villagers of Mosaqane through a public gathering.
This initiative is part of a quarterly rotation, with new teams arriving every three months to ensure a continuous presence in the region.
Corporal Lepekola Ts’ilo, speaking at the event, outlined the primary mission of the LDF: safeguarding the boundaries of Mosaqane, protecting local property, and ensuring the safety of residents.
He acknowledged that, although their main focus is border security, the LDF is also prepared to address other challenges affecting the community, such as domestic violence, illegal firearms, and the protection of pastures.
