Maseru, Oct. 23 — Lesotho’s Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) is set to host a major event next Monday, focusing on the critical issue of climate change and its widespread impacts on various sectors, including the economy, food production, and health.
Speaking with Mr. Kopano Khama, a key organiser of the event stated that the primary goal is to bolster global and regional efforts toward building an environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient future.
The conference will align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the importance of collaboration and youth involvement in tackling climate challenges.
Mr. Khama explained that the LCOY provides numerous opportunities for awareness and education, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of collaborative efforts.
