Maseru, Sept.02 — Advocate Lepeli Molapo has on Monday told the court that he does not want to represent Thabiso Lekitla who is standing trial before the High Court for murder.
The lawyer who has been representing the accused since March 24 2024 when the matter was set down for hearing and throughout the pretrial processes, told the court that the accused has failed to pay him his fees. He stated that this has resulted in breach of trust adding that the client does not believe in his capacity to handle his case hence he has not paid him.
He requested the court to postpone the case so that the accused can instruct a lawyer of his choice. He pointed out that apart from not being remunerated, he has not been fully instructed by the accused. . .
