Mokhotlong Jan.13 — A monument in honour and remembrance of the late Principal Chief (PC) of Mokhotlong Chief Mathealira Seeiso was unveiled by members of the Royal family at his home village, Thabang in Mokhotlong on Saturday.
The ceremony was witnessed by members of the Royal family and friends from in and outside the country, Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Principal Chiefs from different areas as well as other high government officials.
A prayer service led by Archbishop Tlali Lerotholi under the Christian Council of Lesotho was also made to honour the late PC.
In his prayer service, Archbishop Lerotholi said should embrace 2024 as the year of peace and happiness as well as a year of introspection.
The late PC was born on January 16 in 1944 and died on December 30 in 2021. He was married to Chieftainess ‘Malerotholi Mathealira Seeiso and blessed with three children, ‘Mabatho, ‘Mabereng and Lerotholi who will be officially inaugurated by King Letsie III at Mokhotlong town pitso ground today.
He served as the PC for Mokhotlong since 1966 under 2021 when he died. . .
