Johannesburg, Nov. 12 — Effective social dialogue between governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations is key for advancing social justice, inclusive economic growth, improved wages and working conditions and sustainable enterprises and as a tool of good governance, social dialogue creates conditions conducive to achieving decent work for all as it directly influences social peace, stability and the overall governance of labour markets and economies.
This emerged at the three-day media workshop on employment and labour issues in Southern African which is organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) which kicked off on Tuesday IN Sandton, South Africa and is currently being attended by media representatives from Botswana, Eswatini, South Africa and Lesotho as well.
While officially opening the workshop, the International Labour Organization Director at the Pretoria Office Mr. Alexio Musindo said that the workshop will look into creating partnership with the media as to advocate for the rights of the employees at workplaces. . .
