Maseru, Dec. 04 — The expelled Secretary General (SG) for Basotho Action Party (BAP) Mr. Lebohang Thotanyane says he is still the party’s SG.
This he said in an interview on Monday where he said that the expulsion which he has not been served with the letter stipulating such, is just a game saying that the conference was unlawful.
He explained that the decision to expel him was not made by the conference but rather the party leader Professor Nqosa Mahao during the conference over the weekend which he emphasized was unlawful because he had filed for an interim relief to stop the conference.
He said that among others the delegates to the conference did not make a quorum saying that it also started at 02:00 am on Sunday instead of 18hrs00 on Saturday.
He added that though the Court of Appeal after the party’s committee filed an appeal granted them permission to continue with the conference, had stated that the conference would go ahead subject to finalization of the previous case.
