Maseru, Apr. 15 — The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), launched a Human Development Report in Maseru.
The report provided opportunities for various stakeholders to discuss the key messages and recommendations for the 2023/2024 period regarding Lesotho’s human development trend.
Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Director of National Monitoring and Evaluation in the ministry of development planning Ms. Malefu Khanyapa stated that the current state of global polarization is leading to heightened awareness of the disparities between countries.
The imbalance in wealth and resources among countries is becoming increasingly apparent in the current climate of polarization. This heightened awareness is attributed to the fact that inequalities between countries have a ripple effect across the globe, resulting in destabilization and unrest.
