FORMER LTDC BOSS WITHDRAWS APPLICATION

Maseru, Oct.08 — Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) Dr Retselisitsoe Nko has through his lawyer Advocate Christopher Lephuthing, before the Court of Appeal, withdrawn his application for leave to appeal.

Dr. Nko had approached the Court of Appeal seeking leave to appeal against a judgment of the Labour Appeal Court. The Court had declined jurisdiction and gave no order on costs. It indicated that the matter is not appealable because it is still pending before the Labour Court.

Although Adv. Lephuthing had insisted that they have prospects of success in the appeal, he eventually decided to withdraw the application. This was following a warning by the court that there is a risk in appealing and he was encouraged to go to the Labour Court and argue merits of the case. . .
