Maseru, Nov. 07 — Farming inputs are continuing to be distributed at resource centres and sub centres in the districts to ensure easy access for farmers.
This, was said by the Minister of Labour and Employment Mr. Ts’eliso Mokhosi in the National Assembly on Thursday when responding on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition on a question asked by a Member of Parliament (MP) for Thaba- Phechela Mr. Mohau Hlalele.
The Minister was asked if it would not prove to be more productive to distribute farming inputs from the government to individual districts taking into account the number of constituencies in each district to bring parity in distribution as well as to overcome fraudsters who keep the majority of inputs to themselves under the guise of being block farmers.
Mr. Mokhosi indicated that demand of farming inputs differ per district or constituency, saying the Ministry is currently conducting a research to find arable land per district. . .
