DR. LIPHOLO URGES LEGISLATORS TO VISIT LESOTHO BOUNDARIES

Maseru, May 28 — The Basotho Covenant Movement (BCM) Leader Dr. Ts’epo Lipholo has urged the Members of Parliament (MPs) to visit the Lesotho boundaries in order to see for themselves that neighbouring South Africa is infiltrating the country.

Speaking over his motion in the National Assembly on Tuesday, he urged the Government to review the current boundaries of Lesotho to determine whether the current size of the country is still the 30,420 square kilometre as it was in 1885as per map No. 9 of the country including the areas of the Covenant Chiefs of Bataung, Batlokoa and Makhoakhoa.

He said he has personally visited the boundaries and also met with chiefs in the Mafeteng, Mohale’s Hoek, Quthing, Qacha’s Nek and Mokhotlong where he realised that the boundaries are being infiltrated by those living in the South African side. . . .
