Maseru, Sept. 30— Advocate Kabelo Letuka, one of the defence lawyers who is assisting Adv. Karabo Mohau (KC) in a case in which four army members are charged with attempted murder of Former Editor of the Lesotho Times and Sunday Express newspapers, Lloyd Mutungamiri, says documents they requested from the prosecution are essential for a trial within trial to be conducted.
This he said on Monday and indicated that the prosecution has only furnished them with extracts of an occurrence book without a cell register and a detention form which they had also requested.
Legal Representative for the prosecution Adv. Rethabile Setlojoane told the court that the documents which they are required to discover, by the defence, date back from 2017. He stated that the police could only locate the occurrence book. He said it is impossible to locate other documents adding that there is nothing they can do. . .
