Maseru, March 04 — Following the overpayment that occurred during the process of paying labourers of the government scheme called ‘Tsoha O Iketsetse’, Disaster Management Authority (DMA) made a plea to them to return back money that was mistakenly paid in their accounts.
In an interview with the Agency, DMA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Reatile Elias noted that the mistake occurred due to the miscalculation of Initiator and the Final approver to not realise the difference in the amount that was sent to the labourer’s accounts.
He indicated that DMA is going to engage all the adequate measures in order for them to recover that money without threatening the labourers in anyway, however by negotiating the appropriate procedures of paying back the money even if it can take some time while for them to repay it since it is not their fault to receive that amount.
Moreover he stated that they have full details of the labourers including the location as well as contact numbers so it is going to be an easy process to relocate them.
