Qacha’s Nek, Mar.14 — Operations and Disaster Management Manager, Mrs. Sebongile Hlubi of (LRCS), said they came across the gap of preparedness and response and came up with anticipatory action approach which observed that the cold wave that comes even before winter, affects people and livestock in general.

She emphasised, that “we came up with solution to midway the community with funds, by giving at least 500 headboys, blankets, gumboots, heads, socks and freezer jackets in the District,”
She further explained that they are going to assist estimated 2350 vulnerable students of cold areas in different schools, whereby each student will be given 1500 to buy winter clothes for school. . .
