DCPT CELEBRATES WITH GIRLS

Thaba Tseka, Oct. 10 — To celebrate International Day of a Girl Child, the district Child Protection Team (DCPT) held a session with Thaba Tseka high school girls on Wednesday.

Speaking in an interview with the Manager Social Development Services, Ms. Mosili Liphoto said among issues discussed included educating the girls to utilise social development to help and guide them on challenges they are faced with on a daily basis.

She indicated that they also talked to the girls on how to protect themselves against human trafficking and how it affects girls as well as how technology affects their lives.

She added that they were also educated on how they can use the probation office to their advantage and were also advised to follow topical issues so that they get to know what is happening around them.

This year’s theme was ‘The digital generation. Our generation’.
