Maseru, Jan 12—– The High Court has on Friday in a case in which some army members are accused of killing three men at Mafeteng in 2012, directed that a trial within trial be held.
This was after the defence objected to evidence by Major General Ramanka Mokaloba who told the court about a report he got from one of the accused in the matter, Litekanyo Nyakane in April 2012.
They argued that the statement is prejudicial to the accused. They questioned its voluntariness adding that it should not be admitted as evidence. They requested that a trial within trial be held to test admissibility of the statement. . .
