Maseru, Feb,20—The High Court has on Thursday conducted an inspection in loco at the Police Headquarters in Maseru.
The inspection was conducted following evidence by Lance Sergeant Shaabe Thamae, a member of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) who is currently on the stand in an ongoing treason trial.
The witness has testified about the events that occurred in August 2014 when the army members invaded the Police Headquarters and other police stations, resulting in the death of Sub-Inspector Mokheeng Ramahloko.
He, among others, stated that on August 29 2014, he was on duty with the deceased and Police Constable Mokete Loke. He indicated that the deceased was shot as he tried to walk out of the Radio Room after they agreed to surrender themselves to the army members who were already in the premise…
