Berea, Oct. 23 — Commissioner of Police (COMPOL) Advocate (Adv) Borotho Matsoso has emphasized the importance of police officers to work collectively with Community Policing Forums in order to win the battle against crime.
COMPOL Matsoso made the remarks on Wednesday while addressing members of the public during the public gathering staged at the offices of ‘Mamathe Principal Chief.
He said with the escalating crime police officers cannot be on every corner of the country, but through joint efforts of Community Policing Forums together they can prevent crime in communities.
He pointed out that Community Policing Forums play a significant role in crime prevention and they deserve respect and appreciation for their efforts and as a result he encouraged police officers to conduct regular visits at their respective places for motivation, to hear their concerns and to come up with solutions to their challenges.
