COMMUNITY ADVISED OF POSSIBLE DAM

OVERFLOW Maseru, Dec.30—The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) has raised awareness to the communities living along the banks of the Malibamats’o and Senqu rivers based on the heavy rains that have been encountered across the country lately.

The Public Relations Office for the authority stated that due to the rain showers, the Katse dam is filling up and might experience an overflow which will also cause overflowing rivers.

The office showed that the overflowing of the dam and the rivers requires the communities living along such places to stay away from the rivers and to also ensure that their animals are nowhere near the rivers. . .
