Maseru, Feb. 22 – The Ministry of Law and Justice has finally been allocated M4,030,100.00 to pay supporting staff and members of the Commission of Inquiry on the Escape of Inmates.
This is according to the Commission’s Media Liasor Mrs. Malesaoana Mohale in an interview with the Agency, saying the Commission will not have to refund the Ministry on some of the equipment it used when conducting investigations.
“ Such equipment, which included heaters, was bought by the Ministry under its operating costs, thus the Commission will not refund the Ministry as such equipment returned to the Ministry,” she said.
Asked on the progress of the report, she said the Commission’s Chairperson Justice Realeboha Mathaba estimated that the report might be finalised by the end of April. . . .
