COMMISSION OF INQUIRY ESTABLISHED TO INVESTIGATE INMATES ESCAPE

Maseru, Jan. 07 — A ministerial commission of inquiry has been established to investigate the incidents that led to the escape from the Maseru Central Correctional Institute of six inmates on December 21 last year.

Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) Public Relations Officer (PRO) Assistant Commissioner Pheko Ntobane told the Agency on Sunday that such an inquiry commission has already been setup but was not able to reveal the members of the commission.

He was only prepared to say one such member of the commission is Deputy Commissioner of LCS while another one is from the Justice Ministry without disclosing their identity.
