CJ PLEDGES TO ENHANCE JUSTICE SYSTEM OPERATIONS 

Maseru, Jan.22— Chief Justice Sakoane Sakoane has pledged to ensure the enhancement of the justice system operations in Lesotho. 

He stated that he will soon issue Criminal Procedure and Evidence Rules. He pointed out that since 1981 when the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Act was enacted, it did not have implementing rules. He thus emphasised that the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Rules should be enacted. 

The Chief Justice indicated that the justice system collapses when witnesses do not come to court to give evidence. He emphasised that witnesses are at the epicentre of the justice system…
