CHILDREN ENCOURAGED TO STAY IN SCHOOL 

Mokhotlong, Jan.27 — Children have been encouraged to stay in school and focus on their learning in order to exercise their right to education.

Speaker after speaker at the back to school event held in the district on Monday emphasised the importance of children to stay in schools and ensure they complete their studies to become responsible future leaders of the country.

Among the speakers of the day included the District Education Manager (DEM) Mr. Nts’upuoa Lephoto who said it is the responsibility of the community to ensure that children including those with special needs to attend school since all children have the right to education.

Mr. Lephoto appreciated all who participated in the back to school campaign aimed at further encouraging children to enrol and remain in school until they complete their studies.
