Maseru, Mar. 28 — Attracting foreign investment is a crucial factor in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and fostering innovation in developing nations like Lesotho.
While the country presents unique opportunities for investors, it also faces significant challenges that must be addressed to create a more conducive investment climate. The challenges include difficulty in attracting foreign investors due to a number of reasons.
Speaking with the Agency on Friday, an economist, Mr. Bernard Mosia mentioned political and economic instability as a major player in foreign investment attraction.
He said investors seek stable environments to protect their capital and political uncertainty, policy inconsistencies, and economic volatility can deter foreign direct investment (FDI). PM/TL
