CASH FOR WORK TARGETING RESUMES

Qacha’s Nek, May.31 — Today has seen the resumption of cash for work targeting in Tsoelike and Qacha’s Nek constituencies.

This resumption follows the stoppage of operation due to the absence of a vehicle.

The government has injected M100million for cash for work initiative to reduce hunger following the 2023 Lesotho Vulnerability Assessment Committee (LVAC) report.

It revealed that Qacha`s Nek is one of the districts most vulnerable to famine due to the heavy rains that affected the harvest that year which was followed by a dryness in which crops seemed to be affected by high temperature conditions and the need for rain. . .
