Maseru, Mar.25— The High Court through Chief Justice Sakoane Sakoane has ruled that a case filed by Jane Lekunya a Member of Parliament for Mechachane and his wife Makhoase Lekunya on an urgent basis will follow normal court procedure, as it is not urgent.
The applicants have filed an application in which they seek the court to permanently stay a directive that they be prosecuted which has been issued by the Director Of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and concurred to by the Director General of Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO). They asked for an order interdicting the DCEO from remanding them in the absence of Sello Hakane, also a Member of Parliament.
They further asked the court to direct the Director General DCEO to dispatch all sworn affidavits that the DCEO’s investigators and lawyers caused Jane to sign. They also sought an order for Mr. Hakane to discover the names of all Members of Parliament of Revolution for Prosperity (RFP) to whom he distributed the proceeds of crime…
