Maseru, Mar, 04 — The founder of the Annual Moshoeshoe walk Mr. Thabo Maretlane says as custodian of the tourism sector, they would like to see Basotho participate in the promotion of tourism and narration of Basotho history.
Speaking at a press briefing held in Maseru on Tuesday, Mr. Maretlane said the 3-day walk tells history of the nation and it is the responsibility of all citizens to tell their side, adding that telling the history could be through narrating, could be through deeds which will attract tourists to come to Lesotho.
Mr. Maretlane said they advocate for culture and heritage and therefore urged all to participate in making a difference.
He mentioned that the Walk will begin from Menkhoaneng on the 6th to Lipetu then from Litepu to Malimong on the 7th as a second day of the walk and on the last day, the 8th the walk will be from Malimong to Thaba-Bosiu as a final destination where there will be speeches and welcoming from the officials.
