Berea, Mar. 29 — In preparation for the King’s birthday set for Berea, the District and National Celebration Committees were engaged into a joint meeting staged at the District Administrator’s boardroom on Friday with the aim to plan ahead.
When briefing both the District Celebration Committee (DCC) and National Celebration Committee (NCC), Berea District Administrator (DA), Mr. Phahlane Makoko said preparations have resumed and the district will mark such a noble event in two days on both district and national level.
Mr. Makoko said following a series of meetings with their three Principal Chiefs of Berea, they have reached a decision to stage the national level celebration at Teyateyaneng Pitso ground and as for the district level celebration Mats’ekha will become the host at Bela-Bela on July 16.
He further said to maintain uniformity, efforts to get suitable colour for Seshoeshoe cloth and blanket to be used for the celebration are also at an advanced stage, adding that soon the samples will be circulated to different stakeholders. RM/TL
