Maseru, Dec. 24 — Basotho Action Party (BAP) Central Executive Committee (CEC) continues to boot out what they call rogue members from the different party structures, latest being Relebohile Molelle, Deputy Secretary of the youth committee.
In his response letter to the communication where he was expected to show cause why the CEC cannot suspend or take legal action against him, Molelle briefly said he cannot be suspended based on the anticipation of what could happen in November 2027.
The letter, signed by the party Secretary General (SG) Lepolesa Makutoane says it is suspected that Relebohile was party to an unconstitutional meeting held by several constituencies at St. Jame’s Maseru, on December 15, 2024, despite a circular notice that was released to prohibit such a rally.
“The rally was unconstitutional as per Circular Notice number 004/2024 that published a decision of the CEC to prohibit rallies called by constituencies without the permission of the CEC,” reads the letter. . .
