Maseru, Apr. 02— Both the defence and the prosecution in a case in which ten army members are charged with the murder of three men whose bodies were recovered from the Mohale Dam in 2017, have been directed by the court to file heads of arguments on an application for discharge by June 02, 2025.
This was after the prosecution closed its case and the defence indicated that they intend to apply for discharge of the accused.
It is expected that arguments on the application will be heard on June 09, 2025.
The court has in this matter recently concluded a trial within trial which was intended to establish admissibility of evidence that the admissions, confessions and pointing out made by the accused in the matter were free and voluntary…
