Maseru, Oct.05 — As part of its contribution towards empowerment of young girls and boys in the country, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Lesotho will on October 19 2024 commemorate International Day of the Girl in an event to be held at Katlehong in Maseru.
According to a press statement by the AHF as part of the celebration, AHF through its Girl ACT program will hold a session on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) for 100 boys and girls aged 15 to 24. It states that the session is intended to capacitate young people to make informed decisions about their sexuality.
The statement emphasises that the event will also focus on amplifying the voices and visions of girls and young women while advocating for CSE and supportive policies. It indicates that CSE is the best method that provides knowledge and skills needed to make safe decisions about sexual behaviour including the use of condoms and other forms of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STIs) and HIV prevention. . .
