Maseru, Mar. 7 — A nine year old girl from Teyateyaneng, Ha Ramonaheng Berea was rescued after being thrown into the toilet yesterday.
The reports said the victim was found with the neck inside a pit latrine and was rushed to hospital immediately after being rescued by her mother.
It adds that her mother was informed by children who were still playing with the victim when the suspect threw her.
A member of Lesotho Mounted Police Services in Teyateyaneng, Senior Inspector Soko Letsie revealed that the victim said a man appeared from nowhere while she was in the toilet.
She added that the suspect tried to strangle her but she screamed and he ran away as soon as she started screaming.
Inspector Letsie concluded that the victim’s mother had to pick her up inside the toilet and the neighbours were already helping with the rescue.
