ENDING CHILD MARRIAGE CAMPAIGNS TO BE ASSESSED

Qacha’s Nek, Aug.25–Department of Social Development Acting District Manager, Mr. Eric Nkopa says the Department of Planning with the support of European Union (EU) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will from Monday, August 28 conduct an impact assessment on ending child marriage campaigns.

The assessment will focus mainly on direct impacts of child marriage on victims, their families, relatives and determine the magnitude of the problem in the country.

The campaigns were held between 2018 and 2023.
