INMATES REPORTED IN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE CENTRES COUNTRYWIDE

Maseru, Aug 02—At least 40 new inmates have been reported in all the Correctional Service centres in the country this week.

In her weekly reports, Lesotho Correctional Service Chief Officer Bokang Ramotena said out this number four have been convicted while 36 of them are still awaiting trial in detention.

Chief Officer Ramotena said the duo has been found guilty of theft and slapped with a six months sentence or pay M600 while another one has been convicted for having committed a sexual offence and sentenced to two years imprisonment or pay a fine of M2000.
