CASE MOVES TO NEXT MONTH

Maseru, July 20 — The Maseru Magistrate’s Court has moved to August 02, 2023 a case in which some army members are accused of attempted murder of former Editor of the Lesotho Times and Sunday Express newspapers Lloyd Mutungamiri.

The court postponed the case following arguments on whether to proceed with the case using manual recording or postpone as the recording machine was not working in order to allow electronic recording. The defence insisted that the proceedings should be electronically recorded in order to ensure consistency while the prosecution maintained that the proceedings be manually recorded as the recording machine was not operating and there was uncertainty as to when the problem would be solved.
