DMA MOVES TO ADDRESS FOOD INSECURITY 

Qacha’s Nek, July 13 — In a bid to address food insecurity, the District Management Authority (DMA) Disaster Manager Mrs.’Mats’itso Motemekoane says they will purchase farmers grains (beans and maize) at Food Management Unit (FMU) for two weeks from July 19 to August 04.

Speaking with the Agency, she revealed that the purchased grains will be issued in two categories; vulnerable people and food for work and the district’s farmers are expected to sell maize totalling to 75 000 kg, 50 kg costing M275.00 and 15 000kg of beans; 50 kg of sugar beans and pinto each costing M1200.00 while NUA45 (lebete) will be M1500.00. . .
