PROGRESS IN WORKERS SALARIES

Maseru, Apr. 02 — The minimum wage has been increased by  5.5 percent across the board effective from April 2025.

This was revealed by the Minister of Labour and Employment Mr. Ts’eliso Mokhosi in the National Assembly on Wednesday.

Mr. Mokhosi said the increment follows negotiations between workers and employers, held in March this year.

He added that workers, through their associations, are therefore expected to engage in collective bargaining with their employers to get the increment based on the nature of their jobs.

Meanwhile, the Labour Act Wages (Minimum wages) Notice 2025 has been released and can be found at the government printing.
