DISASTER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY DONATES FOOD TO THE VULNERABLE

Mohale’s Hoek, Mar. 21 — Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with its development partner World Food Programme donated 25 kg bags of bread flour to the vulnerable households in communities from nine villages within the Mohale’s Hoek Urban Council. 

According to Disaster Management Authority officer Mrs Mamoea Rakolobe the initiative is supported by The Office of The Prime Minister to curb and reduce the hunger as the Prime Minsiter had declared poverty as state of emergency.

Mrs Rakolobe highlighted that the communities that will receive food donations include Qalekheng, Likhutlong, Ha Potsane, Ha Sechele, Ha Sankatana, Mesitsaneng, Ha Sekoati, Matsatseng and Thoteng.

On the other hand, the Chairman of the Mohale’s Hoek Urban Council Mr. Reitumetse Ngakane, pointed out that the government through its development partners will continue to work hard to meet the vulnerable and the less fortunate halfway in terms of food security. . . .
