LESOTHO METEOROLOGY SERVICES SENSITIZES LOCAL AUTHORITIES.

Mohale’s Hoek, March – 14 — Ministry of Environment and Forestry through its department of Meteorology conducted a training workshop for area Chiefs and Councillors on climate change issues. 

Speaking on behalf of the ministry, Mr Thabang Kotsoro said it is very important for local authorities to be well informed about climate change issues because technically, they hold leading roles and they represent the public.

Mr. Kotsoro pointed out that each and every one must try their best to share the valuable information with their people in their respective communities.

On the other hand, Mr Kuroane Phakoe, a weather forecaster indicated that there are seventy six (76) automatic weather stations that have been installed in all districts by the government through Adaptation Fund. . .
