Maseru, Mar.13 — Detective Inspector Tankiso Lethoko has on Thursday completed his evidence in a case in which four police officers are charged with the murder of their colleague Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng.
The witness completed his evidence after the court went for an inspection in loco on Wednesday at Ha Setho where the body of the deceased was in 2016 found and taken to a mortuary at Ha Majane by the Ha Mokhalinyane Police.
The inspection was also conducted at Lepereng where the body was buried together with other unknown bodies and exhumed in 2017 following police investigations.

Detective Inspector Lethoko was followed by Detective Inspector Rapelang Nkeane who took the stand in this matter in 2023 but his evidence was opposed by the defence who indicated that it was inadmissible.
That led to a trial within trial in which the court ruled in favour of the defence, indicating that the evidence was not admissible. However, the court also ruled that what the accused did while in police custody can be included in the evidence
