DONKEY DISPUTE ESCALATES TO TRAGEDY IN QACHA’S NEK 

Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 06 — A minor dispute over donkeys turned deadly in Qabane, Ha Phafoli, leaving a 26-year-old man fatally stabbed and a 36-year-old suspect in custody at Ha Sekake police post.

According to Detective Sub-Inspector Thabo Setenane, Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Manager at Qacha’s Nek Police Station, the altercation began on December 2, 2024, around 4 p.m., after the deceased’s donkey bit the suspect’s donkey.

“In a fit of rage, the suspect stabbed the deceased multiple times eight times on the head, once on the nose, twice on the right hand, and inflicted a large open wound on the stomach,” said Detective Setenane.

The injured man was rushed to Phafoli Health Centre and later transferred to Hloahloeng Clinic, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
