Quthing, Oct. 24 — More than 90 elderly persons from various areas throughout Quthing district will gather at Upper Moyeni to celebrate International Day of Elderly Persons on Saturday this week.
The event on the theme ‘The part we play: Celebrating the integral role of older persons in our communities ‘ has been organized by district department of Gender, Youth and Social Development in partnership with Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) Quthing Division is Vian effort to appreciate elderly people in the district.
In an interview with the Agency, the Department of Social Development Manager in Quthing Mrs. Masealimo Tjotjela said the event is intended to show appreciation of elderly persons in the district since they are wealthy of knowledge and experience in the society. . .
