Maseru, Aug, 08 – Lesotho College of Education (LCE) together with National Association of the Deaf – Lesotho (NADL) launched the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Sign Language Interpreters Program in Maseru, today.
Rector LCE Dr. Moeketsi Letele, mentioned that he is proud to announce the placement of seven (7) sign language interpreters to boost the existing human resource within the college.
He stated that this initiative in collaboration with NADL aims to enhance the educational experience for hearing-impaired students and underscores the college’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
“As part of the Youth Apprenticeship Programme “Masupa-Tsela” under the office of the Prime Minister, these interpreters will play a crucial role in bridging communication gaps and ensuring that all students receive equal opportunities to succeed,” mentioned Dr. Letete.
